Liberty Festival relocates to the South Bank for this weekend's outing

London's festival for deaf and disabled artists, Liberty, will take place in its new home on London's South Bank tomorrow (3 September).

The event, which is supported by Mayor of London Boris Johnson, has previously been staged in Trafalgar Square.

This year it will be spread across two sites, incorporating the 60th Anniversary of the Festival of Britain at the Southbank Centre and the Watch This Space Festival at the National Theatre.

Organisers at Greenwich+Docklands Festivals have said it will include "the usual lively mix of music and dance, street theatre and comedy, aerial display and circus performance".

Mayor Boris Johnson said it will give people a "taster" of what can be expected in the build up to the Paralympic Games.

On Sunday (4 September) the capital will also host Europe’s largest outdoor Asian festival, The 02 London Mela in Gunnersbury Park, Ealing.
