Picture gallery: Day one afternoon at Confex

The show, which is running from 6-8 March in its new home of Excel London, opened up yesterday with a number of seminars, keynotes and the first semi-final of The Next Big Thing.

One of the first educational seminars was held on Event and C&IT's Haymarket Hub, where the Event editorial team provided information on how to get featured editorially in the brand's print, digital and live events offerings.

This was followed by the launch of Event's Capital of Cool London in 2012: Agencies and Suppliers supplement, and networking drinks around our stand.

The show, which is running alongside IOEX, hosted a number of seminars with speakers ranging from Dale Parmenter, MD at DRP Group to Rick Stainton, MD at Smyle.
