They will form part of the entertainment accompanying sports events in Olympic venues. Also on the line-up are performances from leading dancers including the English National Ballet, Newham’s Ascension Eagles cheerleading team and sport demonstrations including a jump rope show from Get Tricky.
There will be music from DJs and military bands from the Royal Marines, Army and Royal Air Force.
Films will be shown before each session giving spectators an overview of the sport they are about to see. They will use action shots of former and current athletes as well as animations and motion capture avatars demonstrating the sports.
Ben Shephard and Gethin Jones are among the presenters signed up for sports events, which will each have a host to guide spectators through key sporting elements and interview athletes and celebrities.
In-ear commentary radios will also be on sale at events where several sessions are happening at once or the event is considered hard for those new to the sport to understand.
The entertainment news comes as Locog released a CGI fly-through video showing what the Olympic Park will be like during the Games.
