More than 30 high profile figures from the event industry managed to complete this year's 100 mile Howard's Way Walk raising in excess of £60,000 for charity.
Using the bank holiday (3 May) to complete the walk, which went from Winchester Cathedral to Eastbourne's Wish Tower across the South Downs.
Inspired by freelance logistics manager Howard Kerr, who lost his life in 2008 to pancreatic cancer, the Howard's Way Walk has attracted members of the event industry to attempt their longest fund-raising walk to date.
Gallowglass managing director Nick Grecian, Kerr's brother-in-law was accompanied by industry friends and supporters.
Grecian explained: "This was the toughest walk we've done yet, but well worth the agony. It's not simply a charity fund-raising initiative. The donations we have raised to date have funded a PHD Studentship Award for a researcher at Barts Hospital's Institute of Cancer, and our ongoing mission is to continue the funding of his work."
