Rachel Bull, 06 June 2012, 11:18am
The show featured artists including Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Madness and Paul McCartney. A crown shaped stage was built around the Queen Victoria Memorial in front of the Palace, with a spectacular lighting, projection and firework show complementing the music acts.

D3 collaborated with Sam Pattinson, creative director of Treatment Studio, which commissioned animators to create the content. It also worked with show designer Durham Marenghi and Neg Earth, which provided further architectural lighting. XL Video supplied the projector equipment.
Pattinson has worked with D3 previously, on U2, Elton John and Take That tours.
Chris Bird, director at D3, said: "We’ve known Sam since 2003 and to get the chance to do such a monumental event together is fantastic."
