PR agency Wordville has brought in Gill Van Zwanenberg to run its new events division.

Van Zwanenberg previously managed events at the Imagination Gallery space in Imagination’s London offices. The venue closed in September after hosting fashion, automotive and launch events for 16 years.

Since then, Van Zwanenberg has worked as a freelance events manager for clients including Shell and Butlins. She will now run Wordville’s events department, which will focus on corporate events, press conferences and industry forums.

Wordville was launched in 2007 and provides PR to Imagination alongside companies like business intelligence service Stylus and retail consultancy Maidenbower.

Lucy George, director of Wordville, said the business established an events arm to handle growing demand.

Said George: "Our team has been delivering small scale events for our clients for a number of years and setting up a division of the business to handle demand seemed like the next natural step for us. We have always had a great working relationship with Gill and when this opportunity arose to work with her on a more permanent basis it was just too good to pass up."
