Showfreight appoints new managing director

She replaces Ceva Showfreight founder and former managing director Phil Powell who left the company to become the new EMEA head of logistics for exhibition supplier Melville GES.

Robinson has worked for Showfreight for 23 years – most recently as branch manager at its Birmingham office. During her time at Showfreight she has managed a wide range of events from machinery to foods and aerospace.

Leigh Pomlett, Ceva’s president in Europe, said: "Since joining Showfreight in 1989, Sharon has rapidly worked her way through the ranks to become a highly valued senior member of the team. Sharon is a talented individual with in-depth knowledge of the company and the international exhibition and events logistics scene."
