First gay wedding show coming to Liverpool
The show aims to be the most accessible and informative event of its kind, with more than 200 exhibitors offering services, advice and support for same-sex couples who want to tie the knot.
It was set up to promote equality and acceptance within the wedding industry, and has created its own equality campaign, ‘the celebration of weddings’, embracing anyone who wants to get married, regardless of their sexuality.
Nick Small, councillor and Liverpool City Council’s cabinet member, said: "I’m delighted the UK’s first ever National Gay Wedding Show is taking place in Liverpool. We embrace diversity, and earlier this year we endorsed the Stanley Street Quarter as a gay village, recognising the vital contributions the LGBT community makes to life in our city."
The BT Convention Centre is also hosting the UK Baby and Toddler Show next month, on 2-3 February. It’s the first time the exhibition has come to the North West.
