Clients are increasingly placing an emphasis on sustainability, despite the recent downturn, according to the latest corporate citizenship report from caterer Sodexo.
The report suggested clients look for "commitment and performance improvements to help them achieve their own sustainability objectives".
The firm also confirmed it is devising a ‘Group Sustainable Seafood Sourcing Policy', which will go some way to allaying concerns about seafood used at events.
"By working with suppliers, and reviewing and modifying our menus and recipes, we are working to eliminate at-risk species from our approved products lists, and increase the amount of fish and seafood sourced from certified sustainable sources," the fifth annual report stated.
Last year the group improved its recycling rate by a sixth to 98%, according to its figures.
